There are several shows going on right now on Sculpture Island.

The Shell sculptures were created by manipulating a solid cylinder

topographically. The result rearranged the form so that the interior 

is twisted similarly to the way a shell is formed. The textures were 

applied to determine how the geometric form was changed in the

extrusion process. If an avatar gets too close to the opening of the

shell, they will get stuck so be careful!

 

The Glass sculpture was created to experiment with a material similar

to solar panels. Probably not too practical as solar panels need to be

positioned relative to the sun's rays so that they can gather the most

amount of energy but the sculpture looks cool nevertheless.

 

The Dragonfly Sculpture was inspired by kites and gigantic dragonflies in New York City.
